Our leadership team brings tremendous food distribution experience, visionary thinking and a shared commitment to excellence, creativity and innovation to the day to day operation of GoodSource Solutions. Their years of experience have created a solid foundation for GoodSource as a national food service distributor with valuable partnerships with customers and suppliers, first-rate capabilities and customer service unlike any other.

GoodSource Solutions

Van Hooper joined Good Source in 2014 as the Vice President of Supply Chain. He brings 34 years of food service distribution experience that includes sales, procurement, labor management and a focus on operations.

Hooper began his career working in the warehouse for Garden Products, Inc. in 1980. He helped lead the integration of the warehouse into CFS Continental, Inc. after their acquisition of Garden Products late in 1985. Sysco subsequently purchased CFS Continental in 1988 and since then Hooper has held positions in sales, procurement and most areas of operations becoming the Vice President of Operations in 1998.

He relocated from Portland, OR to San Diego as Senior Vice President, Operations in 2011 and successfully led the overhaul of Sysco San Diego’s operations department. This included an 80,000 square foot expansion, folding out a new location in Riverside, CA, improving service levels by over 200% and reducing expenses by nearly 10%. Hooper currently resides in Escondido, CA.


GoodSource Solutions

Pete Holohan is the Director of Sales for the Foodservice division at GoodSource Solutions. He has over 20 years of noteworthy experience in the foodservice industry with Sysco Foods and GoodSource.

Prior to his career in foodservice sales, Holohan spent 12 years in the National Football League. Holohan received a degree from Notre Dame.


GoodSource Solutions

Nicole Stine serves as the Senior Director of Sales for the Correctional Division at GoodSource Solutions, bringing with her over 23 years of valuable experience in the Correctional Foodservice industry. She initially joined GoodSource in 1998 as a buyer, establishing relationships with notable suppliers such as Richs Bakery, Muffin Town, Trident Seafoods, Nestle’s (formerly Chef America), Tyson (formerly Advance Foods), and more. In 2003, she transitioned into a sales role, dedicating 18 years to working with State, County, and Federal facilities, as well as collaborating with major contract feeders like Aramark and Elior to address their foodservice requirements. Her extensive industry expertise, combined with her passion for empowering others, earned her the position of Director of Sales in January 2020.

Furthermore, Stine currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Correctional Foodservice Affiliates (ACFSA), a prominent national organization committed to supporting the professional needs and educational advancement of Correctional Foodservice workers.

Originally from the sunny city of San Diego, Stine cherishes her leisure time with her husband and four children. She holds a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University.


GoodSource Solutions

John Valentine joined GoodSource Solutions in January 2019 as the Vice President of Client Solutions, bringing over 30 years of executive sales and operational experience within the foodservice industry. He has a proven track record of success in developing and leading high-performance sales teams, continuously outperforming sales goals and constantly building deep customer relationships.

Valentine is a native New Englander, currently residing in Maine with his wife and two children. While not working, he enjoys boating and spending time with his friends and family.


GoodSource Solutions

Brandon Marvin joined Good Source Solutions in 2013 as the Vice President of Procurement. Currently, Marvin serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations of the Specialty Business Unit for GS Foods Group. Previously, Mr. Marvin held the position of General Manager at Heartland Meat Company, Inc., where he helped implement new vendor relationships and crafted partnerships with other food distribution companies in Southern California. He possesses over 20 years of experience in the food industry, with knowledge ranging from food service sales, distribution, imports, and manufacturing.

Mr. Marvin currently resides in San Diego, CA, and enjoys camping, spending time at the beach, grilling, and cherishing moments with his family. Brandon is married to Audra, his wife of 14 years, and together they have two kids: Benjamin (10) and Jackson (5).


GoodSource Solutions

Jason grew up in the food industry as a child living in Philadelphia. His father was, and still is, in the Italian bread distribution business and most of Jason’s younger years were spent working in the family business. He graduated with a BS in Accounting from Cabrini University, where he played both soccer and basketball.

Jason’s broadline foodservice career began with Alliant Foodservice, which eventually became US Foodservice/US Foods. He worked for US Foods in Philadelphia, Albany, Milwaukee and Southern California and held senior leadership positions at US Foods, including Vice President of Purchasing and Marketing, Senior Vice President of Sales, Purchasing and Marketing and President. Most recently, Jason was the General Manager for Hamilton Meats, a division of Harvest-Sherwood Distributors.

Jason lives in San Marcos, CA with his wife, Vanessa, and two children, Madison and Ava. Madison is a freshman at Oregon State University where she plays on the women’s soccer team and Ava is a sophomore at San Marcos High School. He is an avid and passionate sports fan spending most of his free time coaching youth soccer/basketball and training his own kids. The Paolini family is heavily involved in soccer at all levels.

He will lead and oversee the Company’s Specialty Business Unit, which includes the Good Source, Harvest Farms, Classic Delight and Tools for Schools businesses.
