The Sales Coordinator drives Good Source customer service through processing and management of orders. This includes management of out of stocks, substitutions, and meeting minimum order requirements. All contact and delivery information is confirmed as accurate. This position works with account managers to help achieve sales budgets. This role actively participates in sales and marketing initiatives.

Good Source Solutions is a manufacturer and distributor of food products, is a growing company specializing in creating solutions throughout the Food Service Industry.  We do this through teamwork, problem solving and respectful interactions. The purpose of this integral position within the organization is to support the account managers who drive business development, sales, and marketing.  This position provides excellent customer service by creating solutions to any customer order issue.  This position is instrumental in aiding account managers in any capacity they need to increase their ability to interact with their customers, prospects and leads and foster increase in sales via marketing and sales support.


Position Overview:

The Sales Coordinator drives Good Source customer service through processing and management of orders. This includes management of out of stocks, substitutions, and meeting minimum order requirements. All contact and delivery information is confirmed as accurate.  This position works with account managers to help achieve sales budgets.  This role actively participates in sales and marketing initiatives.


Principle Responsibilities:

  • Support Account Manager Team
  • Process inbound Orders, communicate order status to customers within 24 hr time matrixes
  • Track sales orders and troubleshoot any inventory or delivery issues with customers
  • Process POF for any customer short or damage upon delivery, track and communicate
  • Update contacts, delivery instructions across all systems and communicate changes to Account Manager
  • Assist customers daily via telephone and email to provide customer service and resolve problems
  • Support Account Managers during travel and PTO
  • Work with Inventory and Procurement to notify when low stock or out of stock issues at the warehouse level
  • Others as assigned

Expectations / Outcomes:

  • Communicate with Account Manager daily
  • Process all orders within 24 hours of receipt
  • Strive for 95% customer service satisfaction.

  • Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking, attention to detail and computer skill set
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong relationship building skills with customers
  • Good conflict resolution skills
  • People Person, positive “can do” attitude
  • Thrives in an independent work environment, self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline is beneficial
  • 2+ years of customer service experience required
